Emil Rousseau

Biography

Emil Rousseau is a PhD researcher in the Sustainable Transformations and Wellbeing Chair, with a background in environmental anthropology and philosophy.

His PhD research engages with the concept of the pluriverse, exploring the sometimes conflictual co-existence of diverse ways of being and relating to the living and more-than-human world.

Bridging critical sustainability science with empirical inquiry, he investigates community-led peri-urban landscape regeneration in Brussels through the practices of agroecology and rewilding.
