Laura Deruytter

Biography

Laura Deruytter is the Principal Investigator of the Decarbonisation and Finance Chair.

Laura Deruytter examines how financial systems can enable or obstruct transition pathways. Drawing on green finance, public management, financial geography and political economy literature, she studies the variegated roles of the state in financing decarbonisation, and its positioning as regulator, investor, and planner in relation to private financial actors and the real economy.
